Lon Chaney Junior, Michael J. Fox, Jack Nicholson, and Michael Landon all played Werewolves
Wolfman movies (or Werewolf films) have been popular for a long time, and the legend of the lycanthrope been around for centuries. When the full moon arises, we've seen werewolves in films like American Werewolf in London, Wolf, Ginger Snaps, I Was A Teenage Werewolf, and Silver Bullet. Michael Jackson's Thriller Video features a Werewolf transformation, and Harry Potter found out that his favorite teacher was also one. Most teenage girls could tell you about the Twilight saga, where Werewolves and vampires happen to find themselves living in the same small town competing over the same girlfriends.
More recently, Benecio Del Toro is slated to star in "The Wolfman" with Anthony Hopkins. Apparently some re-shooting was done for parts of the film.

Does anyone else think that the whispering campaign for the latest Wolfman movie had a little too much whispering? I haven’t seen a lot of promotion anywhere at all! Maybe the studios don’t like the way the film tested, or else they’re counting on a “sleeper” hit, or critical acclaim to drive the marketing, but without a little more support from the studios this film will get rolled over by Avatar and the sappy Dear John movie that every guy is afraid his girlfriend/wife/both is going to make him go see.
